Students know biodiversity is the total of different kinds of organisms and how
it is affected by alterations of habitats, also understanding the concept of
food webs.
Find the following information about your animal:
1) What is its scientific name?
2) List the entire classification of your animal (kingdom to species).
3) What habitat or biome does it live in?
4) Where in the world is it located?
5) How many are there in the world?
6) How did it become endangered, threatened? Explain.
7) What does it eat? Does anything eat it? Draw a food chain or web.
8) Describe its physical characteristics, size weight, markings etc.
9) Describe some of its major behavioral characteristics or adaptations.
10)Discuss the young, including care of, training, birth, etc.
11)Why did you choose this animal?
Stamp Drawing - Design a stamp to celebrate your animal.
1) Drawing/Making of your animal (you must draw it or make it out of paper, no pictures from internet/magazines pasted on)
2) Include the Postage
3) Scientific name (Genus species)
4) Must look like a stamp
5) Include a short cool saying about your animal to make people want to buy it
